Best Academic Writing Websites Where You Can Earn Money

Academic writing is a great opportunity to earn money without wasting plenty of time at the office. You probably already know it, don't you? However, how is it possible to choose a company which will pay you a decent compensation and won't try to scam you? In this article, I will try to help you in choosing a credible employer.

First of all, I would like to point out that most of these websites treat people from various countries differently. A U.S. citizen is always welcome to work at any firm while Kenyans sometimes are forced to face a severe attitude from recruitment managers. In this case, buying a foreign account might be a good option since you will have a chance to earn with it much more than with a Kenyan account.  Now let's take a thorough look at the most well-known websites.

1. Uvocorp.com
Uvocorp has been operating in the industry since 2007. At the moment, it is the best academic writing website. Its advantages are as follows:
- a lot of orders;
- great promotion opportunities;
- friendly and attentive support managers;
- the chance of losing an account is slight;
- VERY high compensation, especially if you have a high  academic level (up to $20 per page).

Truth be told, there are not a lot of orders on Uvocorp during low seasons. But if you have an account with a good academic level, you will be able to work throughout the whole year.

Academic Experts - Uvocorp's affiliate (it means that this is just the same Uvocorp only accessed from a different website. The orders on Uvocorp and Academic Exerts are the same).

At the moment, registration on Uvocorp is officially closed.

2. Essaywriters.net
In my personal opinion, the 2-3 places after Uvocorp are shared by Essaywriters and Writerbay. Let's start with Essaywriters. Advantages:
- a lot of orders;
- great promotion opportunities;
- the chance of losing an account is slight.

Disadvantages:
- compensation is usually lower than on Uvocorp or Writerbay. Freshman accounts may earn $1 per page during low seasons or even less. During the high seasons, the price increases to $4-$6.
- you need to visit the site every day if you have orders in progress. It doesn't mean that you must be online every day during the entire year. But if you have taken some order, they expect you to go online at least once per day. It is not hard, but it may be not pleasant either, especially when you've decided to take a day off and go partying with your friends;
- support managers are less friendly here than on Uvocorp;
- some features are not friendly too. In particular, it is very hard to request a deadline.

So, is it worth your time to consider working with Essaywriters? The answer is yes. However, here is a tip for you: do all your best to get a Junior account. There is no sense in working under the Freshman account since you will earn much less than on other websites. The solution is either to purchase a Junior account or to purchase an account which has a potential to be upgraded. Kenyan accounts must do 15 orders before getting a promotion to the Junior level whilst Russian accounts only need 3. Unfair, isn't it? I think that it is very unfair, but we are forced to face the reality which is very unfavorable to writers from Africa or Asia. Upgrading your account to the Junior level immediately provides you with an access to more orders and increases your compensation to an adequate level ($3 per page during low seasons and >=$5 during high seasons).

3. Writerbay
Another great website. Advantages:
- the biggest amount of orders in the industry. You will have plenty of work even during low seasons;
- high responsiveness of support managers. They are always in touch via online chat.

Disadvantages:
- 2 disputes - and you are out. The chance is not high, but it is still disturbing;
- they only pay writers once a month while most others pay twice;
- they may set the order on a revision status with a very short deadline;
- The website mostly pays writers $5 per page which is much less than on Uvocop and less than on Essaywriters starting from the Junior account.

Nevertheless, the website is very popular because it has a lot of orders. So, getting an account on Writerbay is a good choice.

At the moment, registration on Writerbay is open, but it is extremely hard to secure an account if you are from Kenya.

4. Essayshark
This is absolutely different from all the three companies listed above. Essayshark is just a platform that helps clients get in touch with writers. Writers need to advertise their services and talk clients into choosing them for working on a specific order.

Advantages:
- a lot of work throughout a year;
- the chance to lose your account is minimal;
- increasing your rating will provide you with plenty of orders.

Disadvantages:
- if you have only started, it is hard to get the first order.

At the moment, registration is open, but you will barely succeed in opening an account from Africa.

5. Livingston Research
The website was not popular a year ago, but now it has become one of the industry's leaders. Please don't tell Uvocorp guys, but I suspect that they might be replaced by Livingston as the industry's leader in a year or two:)

Advantages:
- a lot of orders for new writers, much more than on any other websites;
- relatively high compensation which is a little bit lower than on Uvocorp but higher than on other websites;
- you can simultaneously take a lot of orders. Usually this number is 5;
- very friendly support managers which will help you with any problem;
- very friendly business model. They will send smiles and morning digests of available orders on your email every day.

Disadvantages:
-  the chance of losing an account is higher than on other websites reviewed above;
- they often ask writers to upload outlines of orders before completing them which is uncommon in the industry and might be inconvenient for writers.

So, to sum up, Livingston is very good, but there is a risk of losing an account. There are several ways in which this problem may be prevented, but I will not discuss them in this article. However, in my personal opinion, securing an account with 5 takes and a constant flow of orders throughout the entire year is definitely worth your consideration.

Uvocorp, Essaywriters, Writerbay, Essayshark and Livingston Research are currently the best five academic writing companies in the industry. All the other firms are far behind. However, since I promised you to talk about them too, I will list them here with brief comments.

Academia Research (affiliates: Writercash) - doesn't have jobs during low seasons and close to no jobs during high season if you don't have a senior account. So, you may try opening or purchasing it, but be prepared to look at the screen and frustrate.

4Writers - a good website. In my opinion, it is the 6th in the industry. The company has a lot of orders, but the compensation is low. I personally advise you to use this website if you are about to start your career in academic writing. 4Writers is the best option for newbies. You will learn everything about academic writing there, earn some money and then leave to a website with higher compensation. 4Writers compensation starts from $3 per page.

Allwriting - an interesting option, but they don't respond to applications now, although the registration is allegedly open. However, if you manage to obtain an account, you should consider working for them since they are not bad in terms of cpp and orders' amount.

Essaypro, Edusson - similar websites which work just like Essayshark, but pay much less and have less orders. Besides, sometimes problems with payments might occur. In general, I don't recommend these websites. In my own view, you should only try them if you cannot get any other account from the list above.

Acemyhomework - a solid option for you. A lot of orders and good promotion opportunities. Much better than new academia research, essaypro or edusson. It works in a similar way with Essaysharks, but has lower cpp.

Quality writers - good pay, but no jobs during low seasons;

Writershub - a lot of orders, but the company has bad reputation; so, if it leaves you without money, don't be surprised;

Writerslabs - to be honest, this is the only website I didn't have any experience with. They have a severe registration procedure which has a lot of steps. It is common to believe that Writerslabs is worse tan Uvocorp, Essaywriters, Essayshark, Livingston and Writerbay, but better than the rest. However, since I didn't have experience with it, I cannot recommend it. Sorry, guys.

Simpletense - the website has just started, so, I am not sure yet whether it is credible. At the moment, people are excited about it, but let's give it some time and take a look at what happens.

WritezZillas (numerous affiliates) - popular website, good cpp, a lot of orders. But there are several problems:
- it is extremely hard to open an account there;
- it is extremely hard to maintain an account if you are not its legal owner.

Other companies 
The Internet is filled with other academic writing websites such as Bluecorp, EssayJedi, HomeworkMarket, Researchwritingcenter, Freelancewritingcenter, Proficient Writers, etc. Most of them don't work at the moment while some others don't hire new writers. There are also some really weird companies in terms of recruitment. For example, Freelancewritingcenter gives applicants a scary test with numerous questions. You will waste around 1 hour on passing it. And there will be a lot of surprises in the middle like grammatical mistakes in questions, several identical options in the answering forms or strange questions where there are no right answers at all. Surely, trusting a company which has such tests is barely a rational choice. Proficient Writers is another example of a strange firm. Sometimes it seems that the company's managers are sitting all day long in social networks, playing online games, watching porn or doing any other thing instead of responding to writers' messages. You can ask them about payments, orders or any other issue, but only a silence will be an answer. No wonder some people are giving these accounts for free now.   

Summary
In the end, I would like to point out once more that the best academic writing companies in the industry are as follows: Uvocorp, Writerbay, Essaywriters, Essayshark and Livingston Research. All these firms are credible. Securing an account on these websites is definitely a good choice. Most other firms have some issues. I would recommend you trying 4Writers, Writerslabs, maybe Acemyhomework. If you've managed to get an account on Writerzillas, Allwriting or some US or UK-based companies which only hire native speakers, keep going and write for them too. Maybe  Simpletense turns out to be OK too, but I am not sure yet. Most other websites are not good. They either don't have orders or don't pay their writers.
